Matthew Perry Struggled To Control His Alcohol And Prescription Drug Addiction
Mathew Perry was addicted to drinking alcohol during the successful run of "Friends" show. Following a Jet Ski accident in 1997, Matthew Perry got addicted to prescription drugs in a bid to make him feel better. The combined addiction alcohol and prescription drugs troubled him at a time when he was making $1 million an episode. Perry said he was never high at work but was always troubled by the aftereffects of heavy drinking, which he couldn't hide from his fellow cast members and team. His alcoholism was so bad that he totally forgot three years of "Friends."
